We are getting back to work here after a major catalog overhaul.  Some minor changes will take place as time permits.

The Good News Archives has moved to  It is likely that this news section will also be integrated into the Living Beyond Survival Blog and this will be replaced by a  static "Things You Need to Know" page, or something like that.   My days don't change enough each day to keep this page fresh and NEWS is not really anything that goes on in my back yard.

FIRST THE GOOD NEWS will remain here as a weekly feature.

GG is working on...

... Men's classic button-down shirts which I just love to see them wear any time or place. I am glad to be working with my son on these as we move through the various cuts that will be appealing to most men.

In the meantime...

...  I am also hoping to have girl's swimsuits in the catalog by the spring.  Take a look at the sets I have made in the facebook gallery.  I have a few batiks here so if you are interested, go aheald and place an order.  I will email fabric samples.
Furthermore... are encouraged to share the Good News that you find here. If it was helpful to you, it may be helpful to someone else. We have a duty to spread the Gospel:2Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; 3Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being examples to the flock. 1 Peter 5:2-3 Note this is not done by force, not under threat of beheading, not by imposed baptism, not for monetary gain or fame, not even for your country, but because of that one person who might just be ready to receive salvation. Do not be afraid to speak; if someone doesn't want to hear it they don't have to listen...move on!

Did you know...?

...that almost all encapsulated medicines in powder form are filled with magnesium stearate?  I always thought that this would a good thing, you know becaue of the word "magnesium."  I noticed that some even have the word "vegetable" before the magnesium stearate.  Oh, I thought, even better.  Turns out that magnesium stearate is an industrial lubricant used to prevent the medicine or supplement from sticking to the machines.  Also turns out that vegetable magnesium stearate comes from cottonseed oil, one of the most inexpensive, highly pesiticide insaturated oils there are.  Turns out, I personally have a bad reaction to both.  So what do you do when this is included with nearly every medicine and dietary supplement on the shelves?

You go for the liquid forms as much as you can, then for those things that you need, but don't wish to have the added fillers, find them in their powdered form.  Definitely less convenient, but if you don't want the toxins in the things that are supposed to be helping you, even if you are not having a reaction, this is the way to go.

So what do you do if you are having a reaction to the magnesium stearate (aching joints, dry skin, dry and itchy swollen eyes, nausea, water retention) and you NEED to take a medicine that is not available in powder or liquid?  I keep a bottle of children's liquid allergy relief medicine for those times when  there is no way around the magnesium stearate.  I don't like it, but it has to be that way until I figure out how to end migraines forever.

Discuss with your doctor though.  I visited mine and needed to talk for about 45 minutes to work through what we were going to do.

And now...

What I will tell my children; wisdom both old and learned...

I am convinced that I am the only people in the world who is not annoying.  And that person that I am annoyed with is also convinced that he is the only person in the world who is not annoying.  I can see him looking annoyedly at me, but I cannot comprehend howIcould possibly be annoying to anyone.  There are a million little things that we could let intrude upon our own little world, but if we are to get along, we must remind ourselves that we are all annoyances at times, yet we are here to take eachother's burdens.  Pray for strength, take a breath, let things go by without notice.

Things My Mother Told Me

and things she forgot to tell me

(or "things that she told me and I wasn't listening before")

Okay, Mom was talking, and I WAS listening, then Dad came in and said, "I stay married because I ignore it."
